Moving from a space they shared as a couple to their first home as a family, the clients wished to leave behind their jumble of furniture from young adult life, in exchange for a more grown-up interior that could evolve with them over the next decade.

We focussed on refreshing the previously bland open-plan kitchen, dining and living room space and giving it more character.

"I'll keep it short and sweet: we love it." – Mareike L.

Inspired by their current location’s lake view and the client’s deep bond with Scotland and its landscape, we explored a range of atmospheric colours, finally settling on Farrow and Ball’s Oval Room Blue and Dimpse for the walls.

The dining area was upgraded with a live-edge solid oak table and colourful accents. Tucked in the corner by the window, we slotted in a small sewing corner – as one half of the couple is passionate about DIY and even constructed the shelves herself.
