Glorious as they are, tiny homes present many challenges in the design process: fitting in everything one could need for a comfortable life whilst avoiding that “boxed in” feeling.

As the client wished to rent out fully furnished, the aim was to create a cosy boutique-hotel feeling that could easily be personalised with a few decorative touches by the tenant.

"I am thrilled by the marriage of colours and materials in this scheme: the outcome is so tasteful. The coordination of carpenters, painters, craftsmen as well as the ordering of furniture and accessories was all taken care of by the team. – Rainer V.

Together with our carpenters we carefully whittled down our options to ensure the custom furniture makes the most of the space without feeling clunky.

For the petite bedroom we paired back the design to focus on luxurious but simple materials. We maximized storage by creating a bed with drawers and designed an over-door closet utilising the full ceiling height.

The custom bed features a lino and oak headboard, which is soft to the touch but takes up less space than a padded headboard. It is set against a textural wallpaper that gently reflects the light to create a feeling of spaciousness.
